Everlasting Nourishment

“Ever since I was a child I have had this instinctive urge for expansion and growth. To me, the function and duty of a quality human being is the sincere and honest development of one's potential.”
Bruce Lee quotes

God made available His will in the form of Bible to give us backing and evidence while contending with the Devil who would not let us enjoy the estate of our father. What more do we need to do than to study diligently this Will and apply appropriately the saying thereof.

The word of God bear the mind of God. Word of God is God Himself (John 1:1). The Bible is God’s revelation of Himself. In the scripture, we hear from Him, we meet Him there, and He shows us who He is. We learn to trust Him as He is faithful to do what He says in His word.

We should as the Psalmist cried out on that day “As the deer pants for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.” (Psalms 42:1) NLT. The higher our knowledge of God our maker, the more we learn about the hidden mysteries of His word.

The Psalmist was willing to spend time seeking God. He got up early in the morning to ask God’s help. Putting his hope in God’s Word. He did this because he hoped for God’s loving, listening ear when he prayed. When we invest our time in Bible reading and study, we open our hearts and minds to seeing how great God’s love is for us.

A popular saying goes thus, “if you want to hide a thing from a black man, put it in a book”. Would same be said of you? For growth and nourishment, we need food and the only spiritual food that is capable of this is the Bible which is the will of God for us.

Commit yourself today to the study of God’s Word. Your efforts will repay you richly. Whatever time you seem to be sacrificing for the sake of studying the Bible will bring you great spiritual benefits.
