So I asked them , 'is it possible to live without sin?' Yes! No!...and the arguments went back and forth amongst my Sunday school students...'how can? not when we're in this flesh!'. 'Yes we can!', another said, 'our righteousness is of God not ourselves, its by faith we are justified, else we don't to need to come to church...'
The argument could only be resolved by the Word of God, we had to rediscover certain deep truths. As Christians, the scriptures form one of the foundation stones of any revival. It is the final authority for faith & conduct.
Well, the lesson on Josiah rediscovering God's word sparked a radical revival in Israel, 2 kings 22:8- chapter 23. He was king yet he had a humble attitude. Humble enough to acknowledge his sin, repent and move on living a fulfilled christian life openly
this is a good time for self-examination. Just as we get physical exams periodically to check the condition of our bodies, we need to examine ourselves in the light of God's word to see if we are tr spiritually healthy.. We need to consider whether or not we respond to the word of God when the Holy Spirit brings something to our attention. Galatians 2:20,21, 2 Timothy 3:16,17

What is our responsibility toward God's Word today? Studying, sharing, life application with wisdom. To what extent should we base our everyday lives on God's word? the word hidden in our heart can help avoid sinning Psalm 119:11.Our interaction with God's word is vital if we are to live pleasing. it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness ; that the man of God (you and i) may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works , 2 Timothy 3:16,17
